  • Ernst van der Heijden, Executive Director (Primary Contact)

Ernst is, at heart, a logistician with strong operational knowledge of the forwarding & the shipping industry for many years in several countries.  He is a problem-solver and has already put his experience and knowledge.  He speaks 5 languages and is a people-person who greatly enjoys interacting with Members.   • Han van Blanken, Executive Director

Han van Blanken started his career in shipping at sea as an HBO Radio Officer. After seven years at sea he moved ashore to become a partner in RMCA, a reputable Dutch shipbroker, founded by two ex Nedlloyd executives, focussing on chartering and ship management. On Han's initiative, RMCA became a shipowner in 2004 owning and operating vessels together with investors. Apart from his activities in RMCA, Han became Managing Director of J. Bekkers Co bv in 2004, a Rotterdam based deep sea ship owner, a position he held for over 11 years. Han has used strategic insight, market intelligence and analysis to generate better results in ship investment and commercial management. Earlier this year Han has returned to RMCA to further pursue and take advantage of the opportunity in the dry bulk cycle, having outperformed the previous cycle. Han is member of the Bimco Documentary Committee since 2010 and is also is a guest teacher at the Nautical and Transport College of Rotterdam (STC). Recently as April 2018 Han was elected Chairman of the Dutch Shipbrokers Association 

  • Evert Hoogwerf, Executive Director

Evert Hoogwerf is a multi-market Chartering and Operations professional. Evert started his career with container liner Evergreen. Then he became Operations and Chartering specialist in a successful shortsea shipowner company in Rotterdam. Following his ambitions, Evert then joined JBekkers co bv in Rotterdam, a worldwide tramping deepsea shipping company with large tankers and bulk carriers upto Cape size. In JBekkers, Evert very soon became Chartering Manager and was also made responsible for integrated Operations. Evert pro-actively follows the dry and liquid freight market developments, generates income strategies, negotiates the best possible contract terms and keeps control of the entire commercial and operational activity with an aim for a long term high quality relationship with his partners. Evert has the typical Rotterdam no nonsense mentality: "Don't say it – just DO IT!".

  • Andy Titley, Executive Director (Administration Contact)

Andy is a UK Accountant who has 30+ years experience in the logistics, freight forwarding and shipping industries, starting out his career as a Voyage Accountant with Cunard Steamship Line in Southampton and subsequently holding several financial positions with OC(E)L (Now P&O Nedlloyd). Since 1991, Andy has been Managing Director of the Albion Group of Companies, industry consultants.   • Trevor Titley, Network Development Executive

Trevor, son of Andy Titley, is a graduate in communications from the University of Buffalo and was involved in assisting various networks before establishing Five Star Logistics Network (5-SLN) in September 2014.  He is in charge of sales and development activities of GSAN including public relations. In his spare time, he enjoys MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and has trained in Muay Thai in Thailand. Trevor can be contacted at
